Our Origin

Naksha Outpost is a design-led accessories label, exploring the tension between raw industrial form and process-driven craft workmanship.
Through leather and metal, we reimagine India’s industrial heritage through precision metalwork. Shaped by an object-as-artifact approach in our making.

Naksha’s hardware echoes traditional Indian forms, engineered in collaboration with Bengal’s legacy artisans. We revive intricate, hand-engraved metalwork using materials of heirloom quality.

At its heart, Naksha is shaped by a story of displacement, originating from my grandfather’s journey from what is now Bangladesh to Bengal in turbulent times. A single bag shifted from being a vessel to becoming protection, witness, and companion as he left one life and built another.
Journeys, direction, and mapping consistently appear in our brand language. Our upward-pointing bow-and-arrow logo represents direction and forward movement, grounded in cultural symbolism.

We all carry fragments of the past. We all seek new frontiers. In time, we are all migrants defined by movement.

Indian Legacy Industrial

A lot of our inspiration comes from West Bengal a region where metal feels alive. In its old workshops and tranquil villages, artisans have been shaping brass and bell metal by hand for generations, crafting ceremonial objects for rituals

Metal, unlike other materials, holds history. It develops a patina, but never fades- it endures. Like the stories of migration we draw from, it carries weight and permanence.

It felt right to bring this into our own objects not only for the richness of the craft, but because this land is also where my grandfather rebuilt his life. As a brand, we want to push the boundaries of how traditional metal techniques can shape modern, industrial design rethinking what fashion objects can be, while keeping our origins intact.
